What caninepages does and does not collect. Short version: browsing takes no account and stores nothing about you on our side; the only personal information we hold is what you type into a form and send us. Last updated 4 September 2026.
What you send us
There are four forms on this site: the contact form, and the three that submit a business, a welfare organisation or a blood service. What each collects is visible on the form itself: typically your name, email, an optional phone number, the details of the record, and any notes or evidence you choose to attach.
Netlify receives and stores these submissions on our behalf so we can read and reply to them. We use what you send to review the record and to answer you, and for nothing else: no marketing, no profiling, and no passing your details to the businesses listed here.
Supporting files should carry non-sensitive business evidence only. Never upload government identification, payment information, medical records or private customer information. We will delete anything of that kind we receive.
To ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, email hello@caninepages.com from the address you used. We do not require an account, so that address is the only way we can connect a request to a submission.
What browsing does not do
There is no account, no login and no profile. We do not set advertising cookies, we do not run cross-site trackers, and nothing you search for or open here is attached to an identity on our side.
The directory is served as static files, so simply reading it sends us nothing beyond the ordinary web request described below.
What stays on your device
Saved listings are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not attached to an account and are not sent to caninepages.
If you choose Use my location, your browser asks for permission and temporarily provides your coordinates to the page so it can select the nearest covered city and neighbourhood. caninepages does not store those coordinates or send them with a form submission.
Analytics and server logs
Where analytics is enabled we count things, not people: page views, searches, taps on a phone number or WhatsApp button, and form submissions, in aggregate. It tells us which categories are worth expanding. It is not used to build behavioural profiles and it is not sold.
Our hosting provider processes the ordinary information any web server receives, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp, to serve the site, keep it up, and detect abuse such as automated scraping. Those logs are retained by the provider for a limited period and are not used to identify individual readers.
Information about businesses, not readers
Most of what is published here describes organisations rather than people: a clinic's address, its phone number, its opening hours. Some of that is unavoidably personal, since a sole practitioner's business number is both. We publish only what a public source already published for the purpose of being contacted as a business.
If a listing identifies you personally and you would rather it did not, email hello@caninepages.com and we will remove or amend it. We do not ask you to prove you are authorised in order to be removed.
External services
Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, provider websites and embedded OpenStreetMap maps take you to services with their own privacy policies. caninepages does not control how those services process information.
Retention, security and children
We keep submissions for as long as needed to review the record, keep an audit trail of why a listing says what it says, and meet legal obligations, then delete them. No internet service can promise absolute security, but access is limited and the accounts that hold it use modern authentication.
This directory is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
