That is a statutory registration, not our opinion, so before you donate, volunteer or hand over an animal, you can check the registration number against the Board’s own list.
What this list does not tell you
- Registration is not endorsement. It means the Board recognises the organisation. It says nothing about how animals are kept, how donations are spent, or whether the organisation is still active.
- Contact details come from Google Places.Phone numbers and websites are shown where the organisation’s name matched its Google listing. 23 organisations carry no published contact details and show their registered address alone.
- The register lags reality. Some entries were recognised decades ago. An organisation may have moved, merged or closed since.
- Unregistered does not mean illegitimate. Many real rescues and fosters operate without Board recognition and are simply not on this list.
