Information standards
Listing and verification policy
Our labels distinguish imported identity data from information a provider has actually confirmed. Unknown information stays unknown rather than being guessed.
Eligibility
A business may be listed when it operates in a covered Indian city and plausibly serves dogs through veterinary care, grooming, training, boarding, walking, sitting, dog-friendly hospitality, supplies, pharmacy, rescue or adoption.
Records explicitly limited to cats, fish, birds, aquatics or livestock are excluded. Mixed pet businesses may remain when they also serve dogs.
What verification means
We may verify a submission through a business-domain email, a call to the business's publicly listed phone number, its website or public business profile, or non-sensitive supporting evidence. Submitting a form does not automatically create a listing or mark one as claimed.
- Imported: identity and contact details were retrieved from a public business source.
- Claimed: an authorised representative supplied or confirmed additional information.
- Unknown: no reliable source has confirmed the fact, so the interface asks the user to verify it.
Updates and freshness
We refresh city datasets periodically and prioritise corrections, closures and contact changes submitted by users or businesses.
Directory information can change after it is collected. Always confirm time-sensitive information directly.
Ranking
Default category ordering answers the selected category or intent and then uses stable alphabetical ordering. Paid placement does not influence the current directory order. Ratings can be selected as a user-controlled sort, but they are not treated as proof of suitability.
Corrections, claims and removal
Anyone may suggest a correction. Claims and material changes may require evidence that the submitter is authorised to represent the business. We may remove duplicates, closed operations, irrelevant records, unsafe submissions or listings we cannot responsibly maintain.
